Stool-Taburete

In Stool, Reyes takes Cézannetos´ recommendation to confront the complexity of nature by reducing it to the cylinder, the cone and the sphere. Likewise, Stool revisits traditions such as the Cubist collage where objects, in the words of Juan Antonio Ramírez, do not pretend to be what they are not, even though they do otherwise, in a context different from the original *.

This formal recontextualization serves Reyes as an alibi to question concepts and ideas recurrent in his poetic discourse, such as, in this case, the stability, equilibrium or the decomposition of objects.
