Trumpet presents a marked novelty with respect to previous works, because although Reyes returns to rescued materials already used and declassed, but in this case, materials from his own works.
Reyes, therefore, becomes an archaeologist of his own past to question and challenge the idea of time and the action that the passage of this exerts in its production. Thus, he looks back to transfigure the path already travelled through materials and textures whose ability to mutate seems inexhaustible. This makes Trumpet a work, in the words of the author himself, invincible in time *.
